Bonny Ibhawoh will tackle some of the peacebuilding movement’s trickiest questions Monday at the first Laureates of Peace Lecture.

Ibhawoh, a professor of History and Peace Studies, will deliver a lecture titled “Making Impossible Peace: Confronting the Moral Dilemmas of Peacemaking in a Conflicted World” on Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. in Convocation Hall.

The talk is part of the year-long Perspectives on Peace campaign, aimed at fostering creative dialogues around global issues with an emphasis on peace and conflict resolution.

The campaign’s two previous events, a field trip to the Six Nations’ Woodland Cultural Centre and a Truth and Reconciliation teach-in, were both sold-out.

Next month’s Laureates of Peace lecture will be given by Dustin Garrick, McMaster’s Philomathia Chair of Water Policy and an assistant professor in both Engineering and Political Science.
