115-120 minutes

Bayern are shattered here as they take a half-hearted free-kick from the right. They must feel hard done by the referees.

Full-Time: Real Madrid 4 – 2 Bayern Munich (6-3 on aggregate)

110-115 minutes

Bayern have crumbled under pressure here. Asensio dribbles past Hummels before hitting a right-footed shot into the far corner – across Neuer – and it is 4-2.

Real Madrid 4 – 2 Bayern Munich

Mateo Kovacic comes on to replace Toni Kroos

105-110 minutes

Costa sends a stunning cross from the left and Bayern should have scored, Muller was there to guide it home but Nacho is there to make an excellent clearance.

Real Madrid score and it is Cristiano Ronaldo again, who scores Madrid’s 3rd and his 100th Champions League goal.

It was all Marcelo, the Brazilian raced through the Bayern midfield and defence before squaring the ball to Ronaldo to tap home into an empty net.

Real Madrid 3-2 Bayern Munich

100-105 minutes

Robben is booked for a foul on Casemiro.

Real Madrid score and it is that man – Cristiano Ronaldo – once again, rifling home with his left foot after bringing down Sergio Ramos’ through ball but wait, he was a good yard offside when Ramos played the ball in. Bayern are undone by the referee once again. Ronaldo won’t care, Real Madrid won’t care. They are almost into the semi-finals.

Real Madrid 2-2 Bayern Munich

95-100 minutes

Ronaldo lets a vicious shot fly from around 35 yards out the ball is swerving and Neuer is in trouble but the German somehow manages to push it away to safety.

Casemiro goes down into the box after an excellent challenge from Boateng and Real’s calls for a penalty falls on deaf ears as the referee waves away the protests. He could have been booked for Simulation.

90-95 minutes

And we are underway in extra-time. What a game this has been.

Bayern control the game early on with Robben going on a trademark run into the Madrid box but without any end product. Kimmich strikes the ball and it comes off Casemiro’s hands but the referee – correctly – rules against it as the Brazilian didn’t stick his hand out. Costa wins a free-kick off Carvajal and Thiago takes it but Bayern fail to threaten them.

Extra-Time

Luka Modric has the ball – some 20 yards away from goal – he opts to shoot instead of trying to find a teammate in the box and it goes horribly wide.

Marcelo latches on to a through ball down the left bu Asensio, he beats Robben with a couple of stepovers and tries to find Ronaldo at the back post but Bayern win a corner.

Ramos tries to bury the corner in typical Ramos fashion but Bayern hold on and we are forced into extra-time.

85-90 minutes

Muller is flagged offside and the German prevents Ramos from taking a quick free-kick and the two are involved in a small tussle.

Robert Lewandowski – who opened the scoring for the Bavarians – is being sacrificed for Joshua Kimmich.

4 minutes of added time. Bayern need to hold on to force extra-time.

80-85 minutes

Casemiro should be given his marching orders here and he is a lucky lucky man to still be on the pitch. He brings down Robben down the right with a clumsy challenge and the referee decides not to book him for a second time.

Marcelo swings a cross towards the far post and Lucas is there to hit it on the volley but his shot crashes into the side-netting.

RED CARD: Arturo Vidal is sent off for a second bookable offence and WHAT A TERRIBLE DECISION it is from the referee.

Vidal is on a yellow and he goes for a challenge of Asensio – The Chilean gets the perfect tackle in and gets the ball but the referee sees it otherwise and the Bayern players are livid.

A few minutes ago, Casemiro should have been sent off but instead, it is Vidal who has to go for an early shower and Bayern are down to 10-men. Advantage Real Madrid.

75-80 minutes

Xabi Alonso is replaced by Thomas Muller

And it is Cristiano Ronaldo – who steps up to the occasion – and gives Real Madrid the lead in the tie, once again. Casemiro wins the ball and floats in an early cross which is headed home by Ronaldo and there’s pandemonium at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid 1-1 Bayern Munich

COMETH THE HOUR COMETH THE MAN.

WAIT, what has just happened.

Sergio Ramos has just passed the ball past Keylor Navas for an own goal and the two teams are back on level terms with Real’s away goals advantage now negated.

A cross comes from the left and Muller brings it down, Ramos gets a touch on it and it rolls past Navas into the back of the net.

Real Madrid 1-2 Bayern Munich

Sergio Ramos has a habit of scoring in crucial games but he would not relish this.

70-75 minutes

After the host of changes made by either sides, Madrid have the first chance as Carvajal leads a 3-on-2 counter attack. The full-back opts to shoot with Asensio in space down the left and Neuer saves.

After that, Hummels goes into the referee’s books for a late challenge on Modric.

65-70 minutes

Lewandowski runs through on goal latching on to Boateng’s through ball but the referee blows for offside. THAT was an absolutely ridiculous call from the linesman with the Polish hitman being played onside by Marcelo.

Xabi Alonso is booked for a foul on Isco.

Douglas Costa comes on to replace Franck Ribery.

Isco is replaced by Lucas Vasquez.

60-65 minutes

Bayern are dominating proceedings once again and this forces Zinedine Zidane to make his first change of the night as he throws Marco Asensio into the fray to replace Karim Benzema. Ronaldo has moved into the #9 position. This should be interesting.

55-60 minutes

Real Madrid almost immediately hit back and it is Marcelo – who has been Madrid’s best player on the night – who outpaces Lahm and gets to the byline before cutting the ball back for Benzema but it is only inches wide from the Frenchman and Bayern survive.

Everyone is surprised as Robben opts to cross instead of cutting inside. Lewandowski is so surprised that he ends up fouling Nacho instead of getting at the end of the ball.

50-55 minutes

DRAMA, DRAMA and some more DRAMA!

First Robben chips a ball towards Real Madrid’ s goal but Marcelo clears it off the line. Immediately after that, Robben runs into the ball down the left and goes down under a challenge from Casemiro and the referee points to the spot. The Real Madrid players are livid but it was a foul and the referee’s decision is a correct one.

Robert Lewandowski steps up and buries the ball into the back of the net past a helpless Navas to make it 1-0. The two teams are level on goals but Real still have the away goals advantage.

REAL MADRID 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH

WHAT has Vidal done. After the goal, Bayern continue their dominance and Robben chips a ball into the box. Vidal gets on the end of it and shoots over from 5 yards out. He could have simply tapped it home but instead went for the scissor kick.

45-50 minutes

After some to and fro it is Vidal who fouls Casemiro at the edge of the Bayern box. The Chilean midfielder is already on a yellow but survives despite Madrid players hounding the referee. Cristiano Ronaldo stands over the free-kick and instead of going for a shot the Portuguese, almost unselfishly, lifts it into the box but it is headed behind for a corner.

Kroos swings in the free-kick and it is cleared by Boateng, but only as far as Isco, who takes a shot from outside of the box with his right foot and it has Neuer scrambling. Inches wide.

Bayern Munich started the half as the more eager of the two sides but Zinedine Zidane’s side clawed their way back into the game and the tie is now evenly poised. It should be an interesting second half with both sides going for the win. The second half should be underway in a minute.

Half-Time: Real Madrid 0-0 Bayern Munich

40-45 minutes

Alaba and Lewa stand over the free-kick with the former taking it but it is Sergio Ramosesque and way over the target into the stands. On the other end, Marcelo releases Ronaldo into the box and the 4-time Ballon d’Or winner connects his right foot with a shot but cannot direct it goalwards as it hits the side-netting.

From the restart, Bayern get into Real’s box with Lewandowski trying to beat Navas with a shot but Modric is there to deny the Polish a clean shot. Once again it is Madrid who have another shot at goal with Kroos forcing Neuer into another good save.

35-40 minutes

Are Bayern even defending? Real Madrid have another excellent opportunity to score and once again it is Hummels who saves the Bavarians. Kroos is found in the box by an excellent pass from Marcelo, the German lines up to take the shot and connects his right-foot with it but Hummels puts in a diving challenge to deny his German counterpart.

Meanwhile, Bayern win a free-kick in a dangerous position after Vidal is fouled by Casemiro.

30-35 minutes

Hummels comes to the rescue of Bayern Munich. There have been question marks over the German’s fitness but he steps up to the occasion and denies Real Madrid. Marcelo crosses the ball into the box and it looks like Ronaldo is there to bury it but Hummels rises up and heads the ball away from goal. That was a strong aerial challenge from the German.

Slowly but surely, Real Madrid have started to cash in on their home advantage and are creating a host of chances.

25-30 minutes

After the early dominance by Bayern, Real have bounced right back into the game. Madrid win the corner and Kroos swings it in but the corner is cleared by Robben and Ribery gets on the case as he marches towards the Real Madrid half. Casemiro is there to bring the Frenchman down.

Alba gifts away possession inside his own box under pressure from Benzema but he is saved by Neuer who makes an excellent save to deny Real Madrid.

20-25 minutes

Real Madrid have roared back into the game with a couple of half-chances in the last 5 minutes. First, it was Marcelo who swung in a brilliant cross for Benzema to head home but the Frenchman’s header is off target and the score remains 0-0.

Then, Carvajal sends in a simple cross from the right which should have been dealt easily by Neuer but the German spills it and the ball falls to Ramos – who is at the edge of the box. The Real Madrid captain shoots towards an empty goal but Boateng is there to clear it off the line and BAYERN MUNICH survive.

15-20 minutes

Ronaldo is in the mood tonight, he does a couple of stepovers bringing back memories of his time with Manchester United, but he is unable to control the ball before recovering and passing it to Isco and Marcelo, who end up losing control of the ball.

Madrid are playing very narrow here, allowing the two Bayern full-backs space to wreak havoc and Los Blancos are struggling to cope up with the pressure because of it. Zinedine Zidane needs to change something up and do it fast.

10-15 minutes

Lewandowski almost bursts through on goal while chasing a lost cause before Sergio Ramos recovers and puts the ball out for a corner. It is all Bayern in the early exchanges and it almost pays off as Lewa sets up Vidal – who lets a shot go from range and it flows inches wide of the top corner. That was close.

Keylor Navas comes out excellently to deny Robben – who was running through on goal – after winning the ball from Casemiro. However, the Costa Rican keeper comes out of his box and clears it. Real Madrid are hanging on.

5-10 minutes

Cristiano Ronaldo crashes his free-kick straight into the wall and a huge chance goes begging, it was perfect Gareth Bale territory. Lewandowski has not been afforded the space by Nacho or Ramos to punish Zidane’s side as another of his headers is off target.

Bayern Munich have a huge chance as Alba burst down the left allowing Ribery to find Thiago in the middle of the box, the former Barcelona man’s shot from a couple of yards out is blocked excellently by Marcelo and the ball bounces to the feet of Robben – who tries to find the back of the net but can only hit his shot on the ground and into the sound netting.

0-5 minutes

Bayern dominate proceedings early on as they try to look to get an early lead to help their cause tonight. The ball is laid off to Alaba down the left who crosses it into the box and Lewandowski is there to head it but he cannot direct it goalwards. Bayern win an early corner but fail to make it count.

Real Madrid win a free-kick in a dangerous position after Vidal lunged into Isco and the culprit of the first leg is booked early into the game.
