SsangYong Rexton W adds new luxury trim

A new range-topping trim has been launched for the SsangYong Rexton W SUV, called ELX, which is priced at £27,995.

The new ELX version sits above SX and the previous range-topping EX trims in the Rexton W’s spec line-up. Compared to the EX, the new ELX trim has a much more luxurious interior, now featuring a new beige/grey leather finish for the seats and door trims. The steering wheel also gains a leather covered finish and the instrument panel receives a redesign.

Standard kit inside the Rexton W ELX includes sat-nav, heated rear seats and an auto-dipping rear view mirror. The latter feature helps to stop cars from behind with high beams on from dazzling the driver.

For the exterior, meanwhile, the Rexton W ELX adds 18-inch Diamond cut alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights and front parking sensors. A Dandy Blue metallic paint finish is also available.

Prioritising off-road capability, the SsangYong Rexton W ELX uses a four-wheel drive powertrain as standard, featuring a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine. It produces 153bhp and is hooked up to either a six-speed manual gearbox or five-speed automatic ‘box.

The ELX, like the rest of the Rexton W range has a multi-link rear suspension system to improve ride comfort both on and off-road.

The Rexton W, which rivals the Hyundai Santa Fe and Mitsubishi Outlander, also comes with a five-year limitless mileage warranty, just like every other current new SsangYong car.
