Uttarakhand shocker: Class 6 student asked to remove her clothes by teacher in Roorkee

Roorkee: In a shocking incident, a Class VI student was allegedly beaten up and forced to undress by her teacher at a school in Uttarakhand's Roorkee.

The student's crime was that she secured one and a half marks in an exam on Thursday.

Talking to news agency ANI, the victim said, "I was asked to remove my clothes. When I refused, the teacher (Shefali) slapped me and forcefully started removing my clothes."

The principal of the school has suspended the teacher.

"A teacher was trying to unbutton the girl's shirt. I called her and criticised her for her action, suspended her with immediate effect," the principal said.
