Three women among four mowed down by Rajdhani Express in Allahabad

A middle-aged woman and her daughter and two other relatives were mowed down by the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express while crossing the railway tracks near Naini Junction in Uttar Pradesh`s Allahabad district on Monday, police said.

Lucknow: A middle-aged woman and her daughter and two other relatives were mowed down by the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express while crossing the railway tracks near Naini Junction in Uttar Pradesh`s Allahabad district on Monday, police said.

According to police, the incident took place at 3.30 am. 

Sushila Devi, 46, the wife of Chaka resident Rambahadur, and her 15-year-old daughter Sheelu Lata were killed in the incident along with her sister-in-law Brijkali, 55, and a 28-year-old relative Vijay Kumar.

According to police, the four were crossing the railway tracks instead of taking the foot-over bridge to go back to their village and were hit by the train.
