Varanasi: In a new challenge for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath an anonymous letter allegedly carrying threatening message from terror outfit Islamic State, has been found from Varanasi's Mirzamurad area.

The letter with ISIS initials also had `Pakistan Zindabad` slogan written on it.

The letter challenges UP CM Yogi Adityanath to 'stop the mayhem in Poorvanchal, which will be carried out on March 24`.

Besides the state police, intelligence agencies have also taken the matter seriously as the threatening letter was found in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency.

Meanwhile, SP Rural Ashish Tiwari confirmed that police have registered a case against unidentified people and are questioning the locals.

The news report was published in Amar Ujala.

Earlier this year, an anonymous letter purportedly signed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) had threatened to kill PM Modi and then defence minister Manohar Parrikar.

The letter expressed anger over ban on cow slaughter in the country.
