Hyderabad: Six child labourers rescued

Police on Wednesday rescued six minor boys who were employed as labourers at a brick-making facility in adjoining Ranga Reddy district and arrested two persons.

Hyderabad: Police on Wednesday rescued six minor boys who were employed as labourers at a brick-making facility in adjoining Ranga Reddy district and arrested two persons.

The duo, N Deva Das and N Gopal, was arrested after a police team raided the brick-making unit at Koheda village and rescued six boys, they said.

The boys, aged between 15 and 17, were employed at the facility by the two men for the past two months, the police said.

Das's wife Aruna, who is the owner of the brick facility, is absconding, they said, adding the rescued children belong to different states.
