Steven Gerrard lauds Luis Suarez as his best ever Liverpool teammate

Johannesburg: Steven Gerrard has described former team mate Luis Suarez as 'probably the best' he has ever played ahead of a friendly tie between Barcelona and MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy.

Both players were teammates at Liverpool for three years before Suarez moved to the Catalan giants last year.

Describing the Uruguayan international as 'fantastic talent' and a 'very dangerous player', Gerrard said that Suarez is probably the best player he has played with, Sport24 reported.

The veteran midfielder also said that Suarez is a family man away from the pitch, adding that they have supported each other throughout their careers.

Gerrard bid adieu to his boyhood club Liverpool after 17 years at the end of last term to join LA Galaxy.
