Arsenal end their pursuit of Arturo Vidal: Report

New Delhi: Arsenal fans will not get to see Chile international Arturo Vidal in their red shirt as the EPL giants have ended their interest in the Juventus midfielder. According to a report in The Telegraph, in England, Arsene Wenger feels he has enough resources in midfield to deliver him results.

Arsenal wanted a midfielder this season and had their eyes on Vidal but now a deal looks over.

Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla emerged as the first-choice pairing as Arsenal finished last season on the high of winning a second consecutive FA Cup. With Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Flamini and Tomas Rosicky also competing for those places, Wenger is still deciding whether he needs additional quality in that area.

On the other hand, The Telegraph also reports that Morgan Schneiderlin will make a GBP 25m move to Manchester United over the weekend. The Southampton midfielder who was rumoured to interest a host of clubs, has agreed a deal to join Louis van Gaal's men.

Schneiderlin will add a lot of quality to Man United who last year struggled when Michael Carrick got injured for most part of the season.
