London: Durham pace bowler Mark Wood and Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid have been named in England`s squad for next week`s one-day international against Ireland in Dublin.

The pair are currently in the Caribbean for England`s tour of the West Indies, but neither player has featured in any of the three Tests.

Eleven players have already been selected for the Ireland fixture next Friday, with the England and Wales Cricket Board announcing that would be topped up by those who did not make the cut for the final Test against the Windies.

"England selectors today announced that Yorkshire`s Adil Rashid and Durham`s Mark Wood will complete England`s 13-man squad for the one-day international (ODI) against Ireland on Friday May 8 at Malahide, Dublin," an ECB statement read on Friday.

"Rashid and Wood will return home early from the West Indies to join up with the rest of the England ODI squad to face Ireland."

Wood will hope to make his England debut despite having only featured in 18 List A matches.

Rashid has already represented the Lions this year and has played in five one-day internationals, although his last appearance for the senior England team came in November 2009.

England will be captained by James Taylor in what will be his 18th one-day international, with regular 50-over captain Eoin Morgan away in the Indian Premier League.

James Vince, Sam Billings, Zafar Ansari, Lewis Gregory and David Willey are the other uncapped players in an inexperienced squad.
