Lalit Modi targets Arun Jaitley, says nothing in BCCI can be done without his permission

New Delhi: Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi on Sunday trained his gun at Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for his links with former BCCI chief N Srinivasan and the DDCA scam.

Despite leveling allegations against several politicians and media barons, Modi's main target, as he admitted, was Jaitley.

The controversial cricket administrator questioned Jaitely for backing the ICC chairman despite overwhelming evidence pointing towards his conflict of interest in the BCCI and IPL.

Other politicians (involved in cricket administration) that were on Modi's radar included Congress MP Rajeev Shukla and current BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur.

Modi also backed rebel BJP MP Kirti Azad, saying nothing in the BCCI could be done without the blessings of Jaitley. He also went to attack the latter for his links to the DDCA scam.

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Raje have been facing flak for "helping" Modi in procuring travel documents in the UK, a country which he has made his home to avoid legal processes in India.

Modi, 49, travelled to London in 2010 after the Indian Premier League (IPL) became embroiled in allegations of match-fixing and illegal betting.
