Trouble for KKR: Sunil Narine reported for suspect action again

New Delhi: West Indies spinner Sunil Narine, who is a vital cog in Kolkata Knight Riders' plans for the Indian Premier League, was on Friday once again reported for suspect action following the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 22 in Visakhapatnam.

An IPL press release said, "Narine will still be eligible to bowl in forthcoming Pepsi IPL matches and may request a biomechanical analysis of the deliveries in question at the ICC and BCCI accredited testing facility, the Sri Ramachandra Arthroscopy and Sports Science Centre (SRASSC) in Chennai."

The tweaker had first been reported for a suspect action for his quicker deliveries during the Champions League Twenty20 in October 2014, following Knight Riders' group game against Dolphins.

Even though he was allowed to play KKR's next game against Hobart Hurricanes, he was once again reported, and subsequently banned from bowling in the final, against Chennai Super Kings.

Ever since he started bowling with an improved action in IPL 2015, Narine has struggled to find his rhythm and even though KKR have been in great form this season, their spinner has managed to pick just two wickets from five matches.
