IPL 2016: Did KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir take a dig at Virat Kohli after RCB's loss in final vs SRH?

New Delhi: Minutes after SunRisers Hyderabad beat Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 9 final on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders skipper Gautam Gambhir took to Twitter to congratulate the winning team.

But it seems, that in his message, Gambhir tried to take a dig at Kohli, with who he had been involved in an on-field scuffle in the same tournament few years back, when the duo had to be separated as they were on verge of a physical fight.

The grudge was quite visible this year as well, when during the match against RCB, Gambhir kicked a chair and hurled a few abuses as Yusuf Pathan was hitting the winning blows.

In his tweet, Gambhir wrote: “Congratulations @SunRisers on winning @IPL Nice guys DO finish first. Well done. Bowler win u cricket matches be it any format @BCCI”, with emphasis on the word ‘DO’.

Now only Gambhir can reveal whether he was taking a pot shot at the Indian Test captain or it was a just an expression by the veteran player.
