Records MS Dhoni can break at Mohali ODI against New Zealand

New Delhi: It's turning out to be a Super Sunday for Indian sports. In the Asian Champions Trophy in Malaysia, India beat Pakistan 3-2 keeping their recent superb form alive against arch-rivals alive. And at Mohali, Mahendra Singh Dhoni became the first ever wicket-keeper to have affected 150+ stumpings.

The India skipper achieved this feat, which is likely to stand the test of time, in the third One-Day International match against the visiting New Zealand.

The 35-year-old can end the day braking few more records. Here's three such records:

1. Dhoni needs three sixes to break Sachin Tendulkar's record of 195 ODI sixes. In his previous 280 ODI matches, Dhoni has hit 193 sixes and 695 fours.

2. Continuing with sixes, if Dhoni manages even a couple today against the Kiwis, he will become the skipper with most ODI sixes, surpassing Ricky Ponting's 194

3. And most importantly, he needs 22 runs to complete 9000 ODI runs and join Kumar Sangakkara and Adam Gilchrist in an exclusive list of wicket-keepers.

With New Zealand scoring a series high total of 285 runs, Dhoni's chances of playing more balls becomes a realistic chance.

The longer he plays, better the chances of him breaking these records.
