New Delhi: In the recently concluded ODI series between India-New Zealand, Amit Mishra was presented Man of the Match as well as Man of the Series award for his incredible 15-wicket total in the whole series, five of which came in the 5th ODI.

Mishra, 33, took 15 wickets in the 5 match series against Kiwis. In doing so, he broke the record for taking most number of wickets in a bilateral ODI series against New Zealand. The previous record of 13 wickets was held by Shane Warne, Darren Gough and Sunil Narine.

With Tim Southee's wicket, the leg-spinner went past Warne, Gough and Naraine. Mishra won the Man of the Match award for his wonderful performance of 6-2-18-5 at Vizag where India defeated New Zealand by 190 runs.
