2nd ODI, India vs Bangaldesh: Players to watch out for

New Delhi: India face a crucial situaution when they take on hosts Bangladesh in the second ODI match in the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Sunday. After losing the first encounter by a whooping 79 runs, India will hope to turn the tide in their favour in the three-match series.

Bangladesh were supreme in all three departments in the first ODI and registered their fourth successive victory on the trot. The young Bangladeshi side looks like a well balanced unit and will hope to give India another tough day on the field.

For India the lack of wickets upfront by the bowlers have hurt the team. The middle order too looked vulnerable and surrendered easily. A lot of credit should be given to Bangladesh bowlers to defend a stiff target of 308 runs.

India need a win to level the series at 1-1. Bangladesh meanwhile, need a win to seal the series and are the favourites going into the game on form.

Ahead of the second ODI in Mirpur on Sunday we look at two players from each side who could make a difference and contribute largely.

India

Rohit Sharma: The opening batsman got India to a good start in the previous ODI and showed his composure at the crease. He top scored for the visitors with a well made 63 runs and needs to go for a bigger knock on Sunday. Rohit's potential is huge and on a crunch situation his maturity will pay dividends.

R Ashwin: Ashwin impressed in the first ODI match picking up three wickets. The off-spinner comes from a good outing in the one-off drawn Test match and will lead the bowling once again. With the Indian pacers looking a bit flat in good batting conditions, Ashwin's application will be key for skipper MS Dhoni.

Bangladesh

Tamim Iqbal: The sensational opening batsman from Bangladesh has continued his good form in 2015 and set the platform alongside Soumya Sarkar in the first ODI. Tamim scored a brisk 60-run knock and looked relatively at ease against the Indian bowling. On Sunday he will be yeing a similar performance and set the game for the middle order.

Mustafizur Rahman: The 19-year-old pacer uprooted the Indian batting line-up in the first ODI which was also his debut ODI game. His impressive figures of 5/50, won many hearts in the cricket world and a fearless attitude is what Bangladesh will hope from him on Sunday too. Rahman has the backing of his team and will hope to build on a dream start for his nation.
