New Delhi: It wasn't long ago that Rohit Sharma created a world record by smashing 264 runs in an ODI against Sri Lanka. While the right-hander was once again hailed for his incredible batting skills, many doubted whether he could carry his form into the Test series against Australia.

And the fears have come true as even though India have managed to put some fight against the Aussies, Rohit is one of the batsmen who haven't yet scored a half-century yet.

While he should be focusing on areas of improvement as far has his technique is concerned, the Mumbaikar has been involved in more than one case of verbal spat in the two Tests played so far.

In the first Test, Rohit was seen exchanging a few heated words with Smith during his own bowling.

At Brisbane, he committed a blunder by provoking Mitchell Johnson, who changed the course of the match with a brilliant 88-run knock.

Rohit has managed to score just 81 runs from four innings and when the team needed him to stay at the wicket on Day 4 of the Gabba Test, he was dismissed for a second-ball duck by Johnson.

While there is hardly any doubt as far as his talent is concerned, he would soon become a burden for the selectors and the Indian team if he doesn't contribute with the bat overseas.
