After a shocking defeat in the opening Test, Alastair Cook and his men would be keen on putting a good show against Misbah & Co.

The hosts were overshadowed in all departments of the game at Lord's, where Pakistan looked determined to unsettle their opponent.

After Misbah's brilliant ton, Yasir Shah spun a web around the English batsmen, who were bamboozled by his variation.

The leg-spinner picked 10 wickets in two innings and English batsmen would now look for ways to tackle his quality spin bowling.

England captain Alastair Cook announced Thursday that the hosts had reduced their squad for the second Test against Pakistan from 14 to 12 after dropping Steven Finn and Jake Ball – two pacers who were a part of the squad in the first Test.

Now fit-again paceman James Anderson (shoulder), England`s all-time leading wicket-taker, and all-rounder Ben Stokes (knee), who both didn`t play at Lord`s, are set to make their Test return in Manchester.

It remains to be seen whether the inclusion of these two players can change England's fortunes.
