David Warner, Darren Lehmann take friendly banter on Dirk Nannes

New Delhi: A day after former Australian crickter Dirk Nannes slammed Australian team for their 'horrendous sportsmanship', opener David Warner and coach Darren Lehmann took a dig at former pacer by shaking hands with Ross Taylor.

Warner and Lehmann congratulated New Zealand batsman Taylor on Tuesday and even shook hands with him for his record-breaking 290-run knock, which he scored during the fourth Day in the 2nd Test.

Lehmann and Taylor then took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the image of the same.

On Monday, Nannes had criticised Australian cricketers for showing lack of appreciation for the record-breaking knock of 290 by Ross Taylor as none of the fielders congratulated the New Zealander.

“Probably the biggest disappointment of that session is that after the innings, he’s made 290, not one person from the Australian camp went and shook his hand. In the spirit of the way this game has been played, and the game before, with the exception of that one incident with Mitchell Starc, I can’t help but be disappointed that nobody went out to him and shook his hand. It’s not that hard is it?

"You don’t have a guy bat for a day and a half out there and just not even acknowledge it, that’s horrendous sportsmanship,” said Nannes, while doing commentary during the match.

The home side has a crucial lead of 1-0 in the series.
