Alex Hales picks Virender Sehwag over Sachin Tendulkar in All Time XI

New Delhi: Kumar Sangakkara's decision not to pick Sachin Tendulkar as part of his All Time XI surprised plenty of Indian cricket fans.

Well, the former Sri Lankan cricketer wasn't alone when it came leaving the master out.

England's Alex Hales opted for the same route when he picked his side.

While the lone Indian in Sanga's team was Rahul Dravid, Hales went for Virender Sehwag.

When questioned about Alastair Cook's selection over the likes of Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Kevin Pietersen and Brendon McCullum, the explosive right-hander offered this explanation.

Alex's Hales's All Time XI: Alastair Cook, Virender Sehwag, Ricky Ponting, Brian Lara, Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis, Gary Sobers, Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath

Despite scoring 51 Test tons, Tendulkar's exclusion by both these international cricketers is quite baffling.

While it is true that every player has his own favorites and preferences, it's very difficult to argue against Tendulkar's selection in such teams.
