New Delhi: It seems that after Lodha Committee raised questions over 'conflict of interest' issue within the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the newly elected board members are taking the matter seriously to avoid future repercussions.

According to to a report published in English newspaper, Indian Express, the cricket board has written to all its associations to sign ‘no-conflict-of-interest’ undertaking. And now the board wants Indian players to sign up the same.

In a two-page letter, that has ‘conflict of interest' as its subject, BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur made a direct appeal to the associations to submit the declaration form and “protect the reputation and institutional integrity so as to earn broad trust, faith and confidence in all our activities”.

In the letter Thakur, also wrote: The matter of 'conflict of interest' has caused enough consternation in our organisation and has led to situations which we need to collectively address and avoid, for the future to come.”

The ‘conflict of interest’ issue took a toll on BCCI's reputation of late. It started with the former BCCI president N Srinivasan buying a IPL team Chennai Super Kings. In fact, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also came under scanner for having a stake in Rhiti Sports – which manages some top Indian players and even for his role as vice president of India Cements.

Few days back, while talking about 'Operation clean-up' BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya reportedly said that 'the board would set the rules for administrators in the first phase and players will come next.'
