In a disgraceful incident, a man reportedly allowed seven of his male friends to rape his wife in order to get some money in exchange to buy drugs.

Chandigarh: In a disgraceful incident, a man reportedly allowed seven of his male friends to rape his wife in order to get some money in exchange to buy drugs. 

The man, a drug-addict, as reported by Times of India, took money from few youths in the same village to sustain his addiction and offered her to them in return.

The incident took place in June this year in Dakha village in Punjab's Ludhiana. 

After conducting an inquiry on the woman's complaint, the Dakha police booked the seven accused under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. The woman's husband has also been booked under Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code. 

In her complaint, the 22-year-old woman alleged that she was married in 2011 and has a child from the accused. 

As per woman, the accused was addicted to drugs and would run his house expenses by offering her to his friends. Her husband had taken few lewd pictures of the woman and would blackmail her on this. 

ASI Nagar Singh, acting SHO, told TOI that a manhunt has been launched to nab all the accused. 

One of the relatives of the girl said that all the seven people who have been accused of raping the woman, are drug addicts. They once helped her husband after his brother sustained injuries in a road mishap and since then, have been demanding him to pay them back. 

It was then the victim's husband offered his wie to them who raped her and took pictures as well.
