Bathinda: Punjab's cotton producing belt Bathinda district participated with zeal in Punjab assembly elections 2017. The city of Bathinda is divided into two constituencies namely Bathinda Rural (SC) and Bathinda Urban.

Overall in the state, a high voter turnout record of 77.37 per cent when voting was held on February 4. Punjab Assembly Election results 2017 will be declared on February 11. Counting will begin at 8 am.
