Bottas holds on to win the 2017 Austrian Grand Prix! 



Vettel extends his championship with second place, while Ricciardo completes the podium by holding off Hamilton, who finishes fourth.

Vettel closes to 0.6s on Bottas in the final lap.


70 Laps done and Vettel just 0.8s behind Bottas, with Hamilton also 0.8s behind Ricciardo.



68 Laps gone and Vettel is now just 1.3s behind Bottas.


5 Laps to go and the gap stands at around 1s between Hamilton and Ricciardo.


After Lap 65, the gap between Bottas and Vettel is less than 2s.


10 Laps to go and another fastest lap from Hamilton.


60 Laps gone and Hamilton has moved to within 2.9s of Ricciardo.

Hamilton sets a new fastest lap of the race, despite complaining about his tyres.



Lap 55 becomes the fastest of the race for Kimi Raikkonen.

With 50 Laps gone, Vettel has closed the gap down to 3.9s.

With 30 Laps to go, Bottas has a 20s advantage over Raikkonen in second place.



With 38 Laps gone, Force India's Esteban Ocon comes in to sixth position but is yet to stop.


Vettel pits for Ferrari and switches to super-softs. Returns on the track in P3 with 35 Laps gone.


Hamilton pits in 2.4s and switches onto the ultra-softs.

Vettel reports vibrations on his tyres, while Hamilton has returned on track in fifth with 33 Laps gone.


Haas' Kevin Magnussen becomes the 3rd retirement of the race in Lap 30.

"I just cannot believe this -- f--- this," says Magnussen, who returns to the pits and retires.



With 25 of 71 Laps gone, Bottas has now extended his lead to over six seconds out front.


Another fastest lap for Bottas as he extends his lead to 6.1s over Vettel with 21 Laps gone.


Hamilton is now right onto the back of Raikkonen with 21 Laps gone.

Kimi Raikkonen has reported about a blister on his tyres as Hamilton continues to reduce the deficit.


Two retirements so far, with Alonso and Verstappen both out of the Austrian GP with 17 laps gone.


Bottas has extended his lead to 4.5s over Championship leader Sebastian Vettel.



Bottas has so far managed to maintain the lead. Hamilton is in sixth position now after overtaking Perez.

New Delhi: Mercedes driver Valtteri Bottas claimed his second pole position in Formula 1, beating Ferrari rival Sebastian Vettel by 0.042s in qualifying for the Austrian GP.

Lewis Hamilton will start just eighth - six places behind title rival Sebastian Vettel.

Kimi Raikkonen was fourth for Ferrari but will be joined on the second row by Red Bull's Daniel Ricciardo.

After the session, Hamilton, who had already greeted the Ferrari driver with a handshake, declined an invitation to shake hands with Vettel for the benefit of the TV cameras when the pair, along with Bottas, were interviewed on the start-finish straight.
