Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was back at work on Tuesday after undergoing a successful surgery to remove his prostate gland.

Singapore: Singapore's Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was back at work on Tuesday after undergoing a successful surgery to remove his prostate gland.

The prime minister posted a photo of good wishes and cards that he received after his surgery on his social network account, saying he was "glad to be fully back at work", Xinhua news agency reported.

Lee said he was touched by the thoughtful messages and expressed his thankfulness to the message senders.

Lee was diagnosed with prostate cancer in January, and underwent robot-assisted keyhole surgery on February 16 at the Singapore General Hospital. He left hospital two days later and was on medical leave for one week.
