London: Out of 37 million people, whose names and details were leaked after the hacking of infidelity website Ashley Madison, one name is that of Islamic preacher Hamza Andreas Tzortzis, who has denied having ever signed up with the cheating website.
Radical Islamic preacher Tzortzis is a member of the Islamic Education and Research Academy and has been in news for his support for an “Islamic Caliphate' and controversial remarks like 'those who leave Islam must be killed'.
Ironically, Tzortzis has also preached in detail on issues of sexual morality and homosexuality. However, today he finds himself as one of those who used the extra-marital dating website Ashley Madison, the details of which were released on the dark web last week by the hackers.
Categorically denying the claims, Tzortzis has described it as a case of fraud, contending that someone might have hacked his phone.
"It has come to my attention that my details are on the Ashley Madison data leak. This includes my name, address, and bank card details," reports quoted a Facebook post by Tzortzis.
"This is an obvious case of fraud. My email address (this website doesn't verify emails, and all the relevant emails went to junk) can be found online and so can my address, as it is linked to my business account, which is registered online," Tzortzis added in the Facebook post.
Asley Madison, an infidelity website with tagline 'Life is short. Have an affair' was the victim of hacking as a group named The Impact Team broke into the website, stealing the details of over 30 million accounts. Minute details of users' sexual fantasies and their information regarding bank accounts, addresses were released on the dark web.
