Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Tuesday revealed that the man who struck down two soldiers in Canada with his car before being shot, was radicalised.

Ottawa: Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Tuesday revealed that the man who struck down two soldiers in Canada with his car before being shot, was radicalised.

Harper further said that the 24 years old man was also known to the security officials, according to a BBC news report.

The incident took place on Monday when the man fled after hitting the two military officers with his car near a Canadian military office.

While one of the troops was seriously hurt in the incident, the other had sustained minor injury, the report further stated.

The man was chased and later shot by the police after his car wrecked.

He succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.
