Four persons have died and four others fell sick after drinking adulterated hooch in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district.

Kakdwip (West Bengal): Four persons have died and four others fell sick after drinking adulterated hooch in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district.

Police said three persons died yesterday at Ramgopalpur after drinking hooch.

Two of them died on the spot yesterday evening and one at night at a hospital in Diamond Harbour.

At Madhusudanpur in Kultali area, one person died today morning after drinking hooch yesterday.

Four others fell sick at Madhusudanpur and were admitted to a hospital at Jamtala hospital, police said.

All the affected are daily wage earners and police are on the lookout for the owners of the hooch dens as they are absconding since the deaths.
