Akhilesh assures Girls' college and hospital in Sahibabad

UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday assured that a Girls' Degree College and a hospital will be constructed in Sahibabad district, a delegation here said.

Ghaziabad: UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday assured that a Girls' Degree College and a hospital will be constructed in Sahibabad district, a delegation here said.

The delegation, headed by Congress leaders Naseeb Pathan and Pradeep Mathur, visited Yadav at his residence in Lucknow and handed over a memorandum signed by one lakh residents of Sahibabad constituency demanding a college and hospital in the district.

Talking to the delegation of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), the members said that a formal declaration will be made by the Chief Minister during his visit to Ghaziabad.

The signature campaign was launched in December last year by the organising secretary of UPCC, Narendra Rathi, along with former minister of UP Satish Sharma.

Sharma said the Chief Minister took a serious note of the memorandum and assured that he will discuss about the feasibility of lands for the college and hospital projects at Sahibabad with vice chairman GDA and district magistrate.

Actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar, who contested parliamentary election from Ghaziabad, has also signed the memorandum.
