Ballia: A 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her middle-aged neighbour in the Bhimpura area here, police said Tuesday.
The incident occurred yesterday when the victim had gone to the house of the 48-year-old accused, who has been taken into custody, they said.
The girl is being sent for a medical examination, said Ballia SP Manoj Kumar Jha.
