Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly strangulating his teenage wife to death on their wedding night in Jacobabad district of Sindh province of Pakistan.

New Delhi: Police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly strangulating his teenage wife to death on their wedding night in Jacobabad district of Sindh province of Pakistan.

Initial reports suggest that accused Qalandar Baksh Khokhar took the step after finding out that his wife was not a virgin. 

According to a report in Daily Mail, deceased Khanzadi Lashari, 19, was dressed in her bridal suit when her husband Qalandar Baksh Khokhar, 28, also her cousin, allegedly killed her on their wedding night.

Khanzadi's family got suspicious after they did not hear from the newly-wedded couple after the marriage and they failed to get a satisfying reply when they reached their house. Following which the girl's family informed the cops, who forced their way into the house and found Khanzadi's dead body and Qalandar missing.

In their FIR, the girl's family accused the Qalandar and his four brothers of killing Khanzadi. 

Police managed to nab the accused in one day after tracking him though his mobile phone locations. During police interrogation, the accused confessed his crime and revealed the reason behind it.
