Islamabad: The government of Sindh on Tuesday ordered law enforcement agencies "to ensure extreme vigilance" and take "special measures" to save Pakistan People's Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's life from Jundullah militant group, the Dawn reported.
According to the news report, Bilawal is facing serious threats to his life from an outlawed militant group due to which the provincial government has reportedly written a letter to the intelligence agencies asking them to chalk out a plan to save the PPP chairperson.
In the letter, which was intended as a confidential one, the provincial government has shared a plan made by the banned militant group with the the intelligence.
However, the leaked letter does not state the details regarding the date, time, place and method of the attack.
Directives by the Sindh government for additional security measures for Bilawal were sent to the headquarter of Pakistan Rangers and to the office of the Inspector General of Sindh Police.
Bilawal is scheduled to address a rally on October 18, a day when his mother and former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was attacked in twin blasts on Shahrah-i-Faisal.
Jundallah is an Islamist militant group active in Pakistan's Balochistan province and is associated with the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan
