Nagpur: A woman Naxal was killed in an alleged encounter with the police in Bandepur forest in Bhamragarh tehsil of Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra on Tuesday.
Naxals opened fire on a police patrolling party which was retaliated, an official release here said.
Sarita, deputy commander of Perimilli `dalam' of Naxals, was killed in the shoot-out, police said in the release.
An SLR rifle and few cartridges were seized from the spot.
