New Delhi: The newly-appointed Minister of State (MoS) for Finance, Jayan Sinha, took charge of office on Monday.
He has taken charge at a time when the Finance Ministry is preparing for Budget 201-16.
Sinha was given the portfolio yesterday after being inducted as MoS in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Council of Ministers.
After taking oath, Sinha said that he has got an opportunity to serve the nation.
He is the son of BJP leader and former Union Finance and External Affairs Minister Yashwant Singh.
51 years old Jayant was elected to the Lok Sabha from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand in May this year.
He has studied in IIT Delhi and later went to Harvard Business School.
