New Delhi: It's a major revelation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in connection with terrorist activities in India.

According to the charge sheet filed by NIA against six suspected ISIS operatives, they had conspired to carry out terrorist activities in Delhi and during the Ardh Kumbh in Haridwar.

The NIA on Monday had filed the charge sheet against Akhlakur Rehman, Md. Azeemushan, Md. Meraj, Md. Osama, Mohsin Ibrahim Sayyed and Yosuf Al-Hindi under Section 120 (conspiracy) of IPC and Sections 18 and 20 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention Act (UAPA).

The case was filed by the special cell of Delhi Police on January 18, 2016.

On the directions of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the case was later transferred to NIA.

The NIA, in the charge sheet, said that after being motivated by the ideology of ISIS, the accused conspired to carry out terror attacks.

The six suspected Islamic State (IS) terror operatives were arrested from Roorkee and Mumbai by the special cell.

According to the probe agency, they were motivating people to join the IS.
