New Delhi: A month after India canceled planned talks with Pakistan, as per sources in the Ministry of External Affairs said on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may meet Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at SAARC summit in November.

According to the MEA sources, a meeting between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan are also likely to be held to prepare the agenda for the Modi-Sharif summit meeting.

The development comes two days after Pakistan's National Security and Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz admitted that the meeting between Pakistan High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit and Kashmiri separatist leaders was badly timed.

However, Aziz had yesterday said that Pakistan would continue to meet the separatists, as per reports.

He also reiterated that it was up to India to resume the dialogue because “it was India who called off the talks.”

The Indian Foreign Ministry had earlier said that it wouldn't take part in a Foreign Secretary-level talks between both the countries, to be held on August 25, after Pakistan's envoy in India met with separatist leaders from Jammu and Kashmir.

Yesterday, addressing the Council for Foreign Relations in New York, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said, "There is no good terrorist or bad terrorist."

"There is a need to take the challenge of terrorism seriously. It's sad that many countries could not earlier understand the ugly face of terrorism which is enemy of humanity," he had said.

Modi, in his address to the UN General Assembly, had also said that 'India is a victim of terror exported to it.'

According to sources, the Modi government has indicated to Islamabad that it wants peace with Pakistan, but wants it to first create a terror-free environment for it.
