New Delhi: The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka for the next few days.

Hyderabad MeT Department said that heavy rains are expected for the next five days in Coastal Andhra region. Heavy downpour is likely to occur in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.

In Telangana heavy rain likely to occur in Khammam, Warangal, Mahabubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Medak and Nalgonda, Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar.

Meanwhile, the weather department has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in isolated places of Maharashtra's Vidarbha from June 28 to June 30.

As the southwest monsoon remained vigorous over Karnataka, heavy rainfall has been forecast in coastal areas and south interior parts of the state.

With a low pressure forming over the west central Bay of Bengal off coastal Andhra Pradesh earlier in the day, conditions were favourable for the monsoon to remain active across Karnataka over the next 48 hours.

The IMD has said that the monsoon is all set to enter Delhi, Punjab and Haryana within two days.
