New Delhi: After the viral video of a young girl and her male friend being mercilessly beaten up in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras shocked many, the victim shares her fears post the incident which took place on February 20.
The victim spoke exclusively with Zee Media sharing how she's still traumatised and the continuous threats she is receiving from the assailants, one of which posted the video online to humiliate the girl.
Though all six attackers have been arrested by the police, the victim told that she constantly fears that once the assailants are released she will again come under the attack. "I don't feel protected at all," she told.
Talking about how her life has been affected, the girl told that all her dreams have been crushed and she is not being able to pursue her studies due to the constant fear that there is to her life.
"It is the support of my family that is helping me to carry on. I'm not been able to go out as well fearing how people will perceive what happened to me," she told.
Despite mounting pressure, the victim also revealed that she will not withdraw her complaint against the assailants.
The girl, who wish to continue her studies, however, not been able to out of fear, appealed for cooperation from the government in her fight.
Demanding strictest punishment to the attackers, the victim said that it will send a strong message to the society.
