Faridabad: Haryana Women Commission Vice- president Thursday said the commission will ensure that the culprits are subjected to maximum punishment in connection with the gangrape of 15-year-old Delhi girl in the district.
Suman Dahiya met the Commissioner of Police Subhash Yadav.
Addressing a press conference, she said that the incident is quiet unfortunate and the commission has taken the incident very seriously and will ensure that the culprits are subjected to maximum punishment.
She further added that after the incident of Nirbhaya case in Delhi, stringent rules have been framed. However, some men with sick and mischievous mentality still dare to outrage the modesty of women.
Effective rules to punish such criminals have to be taken into consideration, she said.
She talked about the need of amendment in rules denying any appeal in the cases of prosecution for rape.
Dahiya was referring to the gangrape of 15-year-old girl from Delhi here while she was on her way to the district to meet her relative.
