Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will spearhead the Samajik Sadbhav (social harmony) march here on Sunday with an aim to educate youth about the decades old legacy and policies of his party.

Patna: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will spearhead the Samajik Sadbhav (social harmony) march here on Sunday with an aim to educate youth about the decades old legacy and policies of his party.

The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president, Ashok Choudhary, had earlier said that the aim of the march is to reach a large number of youth and educate them about the secular and democratic legacy of Congress. He also said that Rahul had already given his consent to lead the march.

“People are being deceived by the politics of hatred. We will reach out to them and make them aware,” Choudhary said.

The march, which will begin from Gandhi Maidan and pass through Bailey road, will conclude at Raj Bhavan.

According to reports, Rahul had a 28-member team of senior Congress leaders which has looked into into the preparations for his programme in Patna. Congress legislature party leader Sadanand Singh, the party's leader in legislative council Madan Mohan Jha, its two Lok Sabha members, Asrarul Haque and Ranjita Ranjan, all MLAs and MLCs, State Mahila Congress president Amita Bhushan were some names which were appointed.
