Game of Thrones' episode leak: Mumbai police nabs 4

New Delhi: Four people from Mumbai have been arrested for leaking an episode of the television series 'Game of Thrones' on Monday.

Reportedly, the accused on August 4 disclosed the fourth episode of GOT online, which at present is airing its 7th season.

Considered as one of the most popular TV shows, GOT is a fantasy drama which reveals stories of aristocratic families tussling hard for the Iron Throne.

Following the complaint, Deputy Commissioner of Police Akbar Pathan told AFP, "We investigated the case and have arrested four individuals for unauthorised publication of the fourth episode from season seven."

While the investigation is underway, the four arrested will be detained till August 21.

The case was registered by a Mumbai-based company that deals with storage and processing of the TV episodes for an application.

According to the company, the accused were its employees who had the access to official credentials to reach out to the episodes.

With viewers all across the globe, the fantacy drama is aired in nearly 170 countries.
