Caught on camera: Man tries to forcibly kiss girl at a Navi Mumbai railway station

MUMBAI: In a shameful incident in Navi Mumbai, a man tried to forcibly kiss a girl at the Turbhe railway station. The incident has been caught on camera.

In the video, a man can be seen walking towards the girl at the station. When he reached close to the girl, he forced himself upon her and tried to kiss her. Stunned, she retaliated but he conveniently walked away.

The man does not even look like he is afraid of people around them at the station. None of the bystanders came to the help of the girl, as per the video.

The shameful incident took place on Thursday at the Turbhe railway station when the girl was waiting to board a local train to Ghansoli for work.

Minutes after the incident, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested the man. The 43-year-old has been identified as Naresh K Joshi. 

Prompt action was taken by the RPF as they were monitoring the CCTV camera feed. They were suspicious about the accused who was hanging around at the station premises and were following the camera feed closely. The police were rushed to the spot as soon as the incident was caught on camera.

The accused has been arrested by the after the girl filed the complaint.
