Jammu: In a big breakthrough, the security forces on Tuesday arrested three suspected terrorists from J&K's Baramulla sector.

The three suspects were arrested in a joint operation by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, 29 Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF.

During primary investigation, the three suspects revealed that they are associated with Pakistan-backed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen.

The three men were involved in motivating young boys to join jihad for Kashmir, according to police.

Two Chinese pistols and a huge cache of ammunition has been recovered from them.

Earlier on Monday, the security forces had foiled an infiltration bid by Pakistan-based terrorists, killing at least five of them in the process.

The incident took place in Machil sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district.

The troops reportedly opened fire when the militants tried to cross the border.

Five terrorists were gunned down in the ensuing gunbattle, ANI reported.

The security forces have also recovered weapons from the spot. The identity of the terrorists is being determined.

Late last month, the army had foiled another attempt by Pakistani militants to breach the international border, killing at least three of them.

The incident had taken place in Jammu and Kashmir's Gurez Sector.
