PDP leader Mohammad Shafi Dar's brother found dead at Srinagar hotel; probe underway

Srinagar: The brother of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mohammad Shafi Dar was on Thursday found dead at a hotel in Srinagar.
An investigation is underway.
The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Reyaz Ahmad Dar.
Mohammad Shafi Dar is the Handwara zone president of the ruling PDP, an official said.
The body was recovered under suspicious conditions from a hotel room in Dalgate area of the city, the official said, adding that there was no visible mark on it.
Police said the deceased was living with his brother.
A case has been registered and a probe is underway, police said.
