Jammu: Three children - including a nine-year-old boy and a teenage girl - were killed and nine others injured in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Kerni and Digwar sectors of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir early Monday.

The Pakistani forces opened fire and lobbed mortars at dozens of villages and posts along the LoC.

Indian forces have been strongly retaliating to the firing from across the border.
