Ricky Ponting reveals his number one enemy from the Indian cricket team

New Delhi: Ricky Ponting will go down in history as one of the most successful cricket captains.

Apart from his astute leadership skills, Punter also ranked among the best batsmen of his generation.

The stylish right-hander was extremely efficient against pace and spin. But one bowler in particular troubled Ponting during his illustrious career.

Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh often got the better of Ponting during their fiercely competitive duels.

At a recent event in India, the Mumbai Indians coach described Bhajj as his 'arch-nemesis'.

"My arch nemesis when I was playing against India was Harbhajan Singh. I still get nightmares about him," Ponting said.

The Indian off-spinner dismissed the former Aussie skipper on 10 occasions (including three ducks) in Tests, more than any other bowler.

Ponting's impressive average also witnessed a sharp dip to 22.30 against the Punjab bowler.

Interestingly, the Australian also became Harbhajan's 300th Test victim.
