New Delhi: India's tour of West Indies saw many splendid individual performances from the bat with Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul leading the charts as top run-getters in that particular series.

Calculating the scores till the 1st day of play between India and New Zealand in Kanpur, Ravichandran Ashwin has come out as India's highest run-scorer and wicket-taker in Tests in 2016.

Ashwin, who in recent times has been promoted upwards in the batting order, has scored 275 runs in five Tests at an average of 55.00, with two hundreds to his name.

He has also taken 17 wickets, consisting of two five-wicket hauls.
