New Delhi: Social media has always been an important platform for people to express their thoughts, a chance for commoners to interact and place their views on what a celebrity says or posts. Such was what former Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardena experienced on Tuesday afternoon when posted on an issue that Sri Lankan traffic is facing these days. But the cricketer rather faced some funny replies from his fan, on twitter, on the issue.

The 39-year-old took on social media to post a picture of autos standing on the bas lane and then typed out a rather sarcastic question that “what’s the point having a bus lane?”

Moments later, he received a reply. Placing his notion on the fact that the picture was taken while driving, one of his fan thought of teaching the cricketer some traffic rules- “Also I thought using phones while driving is not allowed. Ah…well… I may be wrong.”

Mahela played the googly with intelligence and quickly replied saying that the picture was actually taken from the left side while he was on the ride side. He further added to the knowledge of the fan that he was wearing his seat belt too. “You can see pic was taken from left side and in SL driver is on rite side. and yes I had my seat belt on just in case you were wondering.”
