Mills, who was signed by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), was the second most expensive player at this year's auction after English all-rounder Ben Stokes, who was bought for a record Rs 14.5 crore by Rising Pune Supergiants.

New Delhi: A day after England cricketers rocked Indian Premier League (IPL) 10 auction, out of favour batsman Kevin Pietersen termed T20 specialist Tymal Mills' Rs 12 crore contract as another blow for Test cricket.

KP, who recently pulled out of the auction due to busy schedule, has been a regular supporter of IPL, despite England and Wale Cricket Board (ECB) being reluctant about its players participation in the cash-rich tournament.

The flamboyant right-hander took to Twitter on Tuesday to write, "Another SLAP in Test crickets face yesterday! A T20 specialist becomes one of the current England team's richest players!"

When a fan asked KP how Mills can be blamed for his huge IPL deal, he replied, "I don't blame him at all! I how T20 is growing the game! I'm just saying that Tests are falling way behind atm! ICC needs to act & quick!"
