New Delhi: As the 2017 IPL auction is just round the corner, fans have eyes set on a few specific players who they desperately want to play for their respective favourite franchises. There are a number of talented players available who have came forward in recent times and are waiting to showcase their talent on this platform, and in return get attention from cricketing franchises all -round the world.

Here's are list the list of top 5 players to watch out for in the IPL 10 auctions:-

Ben Stokes (England, All-rounder)

England's all-rounder Ben Stokes would be one of the players to watch out for in the IPL auctions for 2017. Stokes' recent form made him one of the top-catch for the franchises. Considering his hard-hitting abilities and bowling variations, every team will be itching to rope him in their squad.

Stokes, was the eighth highest run-getter in the ODI series against India, scoring 120 runs at an average of 60, but what is worth more credibility is his strike rate of 146.34 which was the highest among the top 10 of English batsman. With ball he surely can do a lot of damage as he was the fourth highest wicket-taker in the English side.

Ishant Sharma (India, Pacer)

Ishant Sharma will be one the premier bowlers to be up for grabs in the auctions. He is presently the spear-heading the pace attack in Indian team and with the ability to move the bowl at pace he surely will be one of the lethal weapons in anyone’s side.

His latest spell in one-off Test against Bangladesh would have attracted a lot of attention from the franchises. As far as his performance in T20Is is concerned, Ishant has played 14 matches for India, taking eight wickets at an economy rate of 8.63.

This tall 6'4 Indian pacer, whose base price is Rs. 2 crore, is one of the player to watch for in auctions.

Tymal Mills (England, Pacer)

One of the latest findings of England cricket is Tymal Mills, the pacer who is able to bowl at the speed of 90+ miles and his slower-ones in between the over make him one of the most dangerous bowlers in the shortest format of the game. As T20s are known for some power-hitting, this English bowler can be relied upon to stop some carnage from the batsman.

Mills, has the economy of 7.28 in the death overs, which is second best only after Mustafizur Rahman in world T20 cricket. While bowling in death overs, this pacer could be invaluable to any team and franchises surely understand his importance.

Mohammad Shahzad (Afghanistan, wicket-keeper batsman)

Mohammed Shahzad is one of the most lethal power hitters of recent times. The Afghanistani batsman surely knows how to hit the ball out of the park with his stand and deliver shots. The event where big-hitters leave their mark and showcase their talent in-front of a cricket-crazy nation, Shahzad will definitely be itching to bamboozle the audience with his hitting abilities.

Nicknamed as Afghani MS Dhoni, Shahzad has the strike rate above 136 in his 55 T20Is in which he has also hit a brilliant hundred along with 11 half centuries with highest score of 118. His current average isn't bad for a T20 format – 31.84 - which displays that he surely can score runs and adapt himself according to team situations.

Colin de Grandhomm (New Zealand, All-rounder)

One of the top players to watch out for at the auctions will be New Zealand's Colin de Grandhomm. The Kiwi all-rounder, who gained a lot attention from his batting as well as bowling abilities in recent times, has a career strike rate above 136 from seven innings in T20Is.

Grandhomm, is in the form of his life after scoring 139 runs in four innings with an average of 46.33 and strike rate of 220.63 in the Super Smash, New Zealand's domestic T20 competition. With his bowling too he has done some serious damage to opponent team, grabbing as many as 38 scalps at an average of 29.42. He has a career economy rate of 9.22.

These stats make him one of the prime all-rounders available to be grabbed at the auction.
